Debut Album, SHINING IN THE BLUE  available on iTunes on November 18th!

Melanie  partnered with award-winning producer and musician Ian Foster to trim her catalogue of soulful folk-tinged compositions. Together they selected 8 original songs which would become SHINING IN THE BLUE. A collection of emotionally charged tunes that run the gamut from complete heartbreak and loss to uplifting hope and love. SHINING IN THE BLUE means “Shining through all of your experiences, the ‘blue’ or harder times and the good times, keeping your own light going. Not just surviving it but shining through it all.”

The pair lined up a crew of some of the province’s best musicians to perform on the album, including Fergus O’Byrne, Philip Goodridge, Jerry Stamp, Andrew McCarthy, Paddy Byrne, Chad Murphy, Nancy Hynes, and Adam Press. The album was recorded and produced by Foster, mixed by Scott Hammond of the Blue Room and mastered at Joao Carvalho Mastering.

And what would an album release be without an album release party?! Melanie has assembled a gang of musical comrades to join her in launching SHINING IN THE BLUE at The Fat Cat in St. John's, NL on November 18th, 2016 at 9pm.

Melanie is honored and excited to have  WON  MusicNL's Music Educator of the year award for 2017!  Also grateful to have been nominated for Female artist of the Year, and Rising Star of the Year! Congrats to all the nominees and winners!
